Itinerary
Day 1. Arrival at kilimanjaro international airport. Transfer to your lodge.
Group members gather in the restaurant/lounge area of the Rivertrees Country Inn on the outskirts of Arusha City. Be ready for a tour overview, briefing, and Q&A session. Dinner and rest before your exciting journey starts the next morning.

Day 2. Introduction to Sukuma & Datoga people.
Today you will relocate to a remote area at the southern tip of Lake Eyasi with our lunch on the way. There you will enter the Sukuma and Datoga land. Be ready for a relatively long drive toward the village of Matala. Upon arrival, our team will be waiting for you with dinner. You will be introduced to both Sukuma and Datoga tribes on that day before you start learning more about them in the following days.

Day 3. Day with the Sukuma people.
Today you will wake up early to meet the sunrise with the Sukuma people; The Sukuma tribe makes up the majority of people in Tanzania. You will explore their way of life, interact with them, observe and participate in their daily activities, and witness a very strong and fascinating dancing culture. In June we may get a chance to see a traditional ceremony in this particular area.

Day 4. Day with the datoga people.
You will stay at the same camp but this time will drive a bit of a distance in a different direction to visit the Datoga settlement and spend a full day with them. Datoga is an exceptional tribe that keeps its traditions intact and has a strong identity when it comes to its ceremonies and rituals.

Day 5-6. Introduction to Hadzabe people & the following day with them.
In the morning, you will head towards Yaeda Valley to the East of Lake Eyasi basin. There are no paved roads around so be ready to spend 2-3 hours on an unpaved and dusty road passing through the dry jungle and big baobab trees, a true adventure! Upon arrival at the Hadzabe settlement, enjoy an evening hunt with them, gather wild honey, or join the women in their afternoon activities, such as digging out the roots of fetching water. Overnight camping in an allocated camp not far from Hadzabe village. Spend the next full day with them. There is a lot to learn from this unique culture.

Day 7. Lake Eyasi shore.
After leisurely breakfast and morning activities with Hadzabe people, drive up to the northern tip of Lake Eyasi shore and visit the fishermen's village, enjoy the spectacular sunset at the lakeshore dotted with palm trees.
Accommodation: local guesthouse.
Day 8. Safari in Tarangire National Park.
Today you will get up early to see the sunrise at the lake and enjoy the beautiful landscape. Upon request, a boat can be organized for a sunrise ride. We will then come back to the guesthouse for breakfast and get ready to drive to Tarangire national park for a wildlife experience. The perfect activity to spice up our cultural tour tracking the likes of giraffes, elephants, cheetahs, baboons, and catching the sight of the most colorful birds! You will pass through beautiful savannahs, some dense vegetation, and seasonal rivers.
Accommodation: Olkeri Camp, Randilen WMA (near the park).
Day 9. Drive back to Arusha.
Morning game drives in Tarangire before driving back to Arusha for dinner and rest at the lodge.

Day 10. Transfer to the airport for your international flight home.
From there, you are free to proceed with your plans.
